Most saves in a season

Tom Gordon had 46 saves in 1998. He held opponents to a .191 BA, surrendering only 24 runs in 79.1 innings.

As great as that season was, I’ll mostly remember him for throwing up before he came out of the bullpen in the 2004 ALCS as a member of the Yankees.
